Chapter 7
"Hannah's not back yet," Isaac said, looking at the clock. "Maybe I should go check for her."
"Don't worry, I'm sure she just wants to scare us, since we've been watching 'Stab'," Chloe said.
That doesn't seem to fit Hannah, Isaac thought to himself.
"I'm going to check anyway," he said.
"Alright," Patrick said.
Isaac walked out the back door where he last say Hannah. The porch light was turned off, and he couldn't see a foot in front of him. He walked all the way outside. He started to walk back around to the front to see if perhaps she was there, but he stopped when he heard footsteps behind him. The footsteps also stopped. He slowly began to turn around. Nothing was there. About to turn back, something tapped him on the back. He turned around and screamed. The person there screamed in response.
"Hannah!" He cried. "Where were you?"
She looked embarassed and finally admitted,
"I thought I heard something," and then added quickly, "I got scared... I'm sorry, it's stupid!"
"No, no," Isaac said. "It's ok. Are you?"
"Yeah, fine," she assured him. "Just a little shaken up."
As they were walking back, police cars raced by the house.
"I wonder what happened," Hannah said.
"Yeah... me too."
They returned inside, and all the lights were on. The T.V. was turned to MTV, and Chloe was asleep and Patrick was close to it.
"I should go," Isaac said. "Look at how late it is..."
"Oh. Uhmmm... ok," she said.
"I should call Taylor and Zac first," he said, reaching for the phone. He dialed the number, but there was no response. He looked worriedly over at Hannah.
"No response."
"They're probably asleep," she said.
"You're probably right, but I would think they would hear it." Isaac continued.
"Look- don't worr-"
The phone rang, and Hannah looked annoyed.
"That might be them," she said. She picked up.
"Hello? Oh... Uhmm... ok. Here Isaac," she said, handing him the phone. He brought it to his ear and said,
"Hello?"
"Isaac!" Zac's voice sounded. There was a lot of comotion in the backround, so Isaac could barely hear him.
"Zac, what's going on? Where are you?" Isaac said.
"Isaac..." Zac said sounding upset, but trying to contain it. "Can you come here? I want to go home."
"Where are you then?"
"We're at the police station."

Isaac left in a hurry without telling Hannah what was going on. He said he’d tell her later, and she ran after him out the door demanding.
“You have to tell me! Why won’t you? Isaac!?”

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” he repeated running to his car. He poked his head out the window and called out,
“I’ll talk to you later… I promise. Don’t worry, just get some sleep, I’ll call you tomorrow to let you know what’s going on!”
He pulled out of the driveway, and raced down the street. Hannah stomped her foot in anger and went back inside with a loud slamming of the door.
Isaac was scared as to what might have happened to his brothers. He started thinking things like, what if something happened to Taylor? He wasn’t there with Zac that I heard. And what if someone went after them? It wasn’t much help that these fears were justified when he reached the police station.
