Chapter 2

"At 5? Alright," Zac said and hung up the phone. He turned to Isaac.

"That was Damien. He wants all of us to meet him later."

"Minus Samantha," Isaac said coldly.

"Does Damien know?" Zac asked.

"I'm sure he does, Zac." Isaac said, "his girlfriend just died, after all." Zac ignored this comment.

"Should I tell Taylor?" he asked.

"If you want to face him, then fine."

Zac thought about this, then sat back down.

"Maybe we should wait until he calms down a little," he finally said.

"When's the funeral?" Sebastian asked.

"Not very soon, I would be hoping," Chloe said to herself.

"What was that supposed to mean?!" Damien demanded.

"I-I meant that the killer wasn't caught. He's still out there!" She said.

"She's right you know," Hannah chimed in at the defense of her friend.

"Look-let's not take sides on this," Natalie said. "We all just lost a friend. Don't let that split us up." They all silently agreed.

"The question," Sebastian said, "Is why they went for her first." He paused. "And who they're coming for next."

On Monday, when they went back to school, everyone was talking about Samantha. The school was going to hold a memorial thing for her and for everyone who wanted to attend. Almost everyone did, althought a lot of her friends didn't go to school. Taylor, Isaac, and Zac were given the choice by their parents, but they refused it.

In the auditorium, there were a lot of flowers, and letters and poems students wrote for her. Teachers and classmates went up on the stage and said a few words for her, then they let the kids go home. Isaac, Taylor, and Zac went straight home from school, while other kids went out to 'celebrate'. When they were almost home, they spotted Hannah in her car with a few other people. She called out to them,

"Hey guys! Want to come to my place? I'm have a party tonight," she said with a grin.

"Not now, Hannah," Isaac said, with no intent of going, "Maybe later."

"Alright, I'll be waiting," She said, and drove off.

They continued home, and immediately indulged in some other activity to get their mind off things. Of course, what they could do to get their mind off that was limited, so when Zac mentioned Hannah's party, surprisingly, it was agreed to, even by Isaac. They wree off, and they noticed once they reached their destination, a lot of people had shown up. Hannah's face lit up when she say Isaac, and she rushed to the door to greet them. Isaac somberly greeted her back with a glum expression. Inside, music was blasting and everyone appeared to be having a great time. Taylor and Zac floated off into their own little groups and that left Isaac alone with Hannah.

"Everyone seems to be quite happy, considering a classmate was just murdered," Isaac said.

"They may not be as scared of death," she smiled. She stopped short and blushed. "I'm assuming!" she added. He gave her a questioning look, but let it slide.

He felt a cold hand on his shoulder, and he jumped. He spun around to see Chloe's cold eyes staring back at him.

"Oh. Uhmmm... hello, Chloe," Isaac said.

"Hello," she chirped, pulling a chair over and sitting down. She rested her chin in her hand and asked, "Does Damien know you're out celebrating his slut's decease?" She tapped her fingers on the table impatiently waiting for an answer.

"Does he know you're here?" Isaac sneered. He had never liked Chloe much. Her grin dropped, and she shot him a look of stone. She got up, and flipped her dark hair in his face. Speechless, she walked away without another word.
